In_NovaMusEUm Open Day at Museu Bordalo Pinheiro, 13 October, 2017 – Portugal – LisbonThe Open Day at Museu Bordalo Pinheiro – Lisboa took place 13 October 2017, from 15h00 to 19h00. The museum opened its doors to all students who wished to participate in the workshops, digital technologies demonstrations and guided tours based on the work of Bordalo Pinheiro. To start, during lunchtime, the mascots Zé Povinho and Bordalo Pinheiro strolled through the Jardim do Campo Grande, to arouse people’s curiosity about the Open Day and the museum. Lusófona University design professor José Neves and his students prepared a 3D printing demonstration, using the famous Bordalo sardine as source of inspiration. Visual arts professor Inês Marques was responsible for a very lively workshop: direct printing of cabbages in cloths, based on the very popular ceramic plates from Bordalo Pinheiro. In parallel with these activities, the visitors also had the opportunity to experiment 360º videos, produced by Lusófona and Impresa Group, as well as to watch demonstrations of films made in the course of digital animation. The museum also offered guided tours throughout the afternoon. We had a special online coverage in partnership with Grupo Impresa, thanks to the involvement of a University Lusófona professor, who was able to secure coverage by a Smack_PT blogger:
- a video of the event was broadcasted live via Facebook from major TV Channels and newspapers (SIC, SIC Notícias, Expresso, Visão), reaching more than 30.000 people.
- 360º video of the event was broadcasted live via Facebook from major TV Channels and newspapers (SIC, SIC Notícias, Expresso, Visão), reaching more than 45.000 people.
